Posted by When I was young most books I read were borrowed from friends and family. I don’t recall ever borrowing a book from the library until I was almost eighteen years old. Maybe that is why I love sharing books. For me it makes no sense to have hundreds or thousands of books on bookshelves that no one reads. Of course, I am proud of the books I own and love to see my book shelves full of them, but seeing books lying on my bookshelf gathering dust just doesn’t feel right. I believe in sharing knowledge through sharing books. That’s what inspires me to collect the best quotes about sharing books and is one of the reasons why I am developing BoocShare to help people like me to share, borrow, lend and track their books for free.
